Meet the founder
Hey there, I’m Kevin, born and raised on the island, founder and CEO of Parallel Accounting.
Before becoming an accountant, I actually thought of becoming a software developer. I was attracted to the clarity of problem-solving. But midway through my Bachelor of Commerce at UVic, something shifted for me, and I decided to switch majors.
You see, I grew up watching my folks. Dad was a subcontractor, while Mom meticulously balanced the books as his trusted bookkeeper. Together, they built something from nothing and their business grew. But they ran into unexpected tax bills, jobs that weren’t making a profit–financial complications that made them lose sleep.
Now, as a parent myself, I want to help families like mine eliminate those stresses. I’m on a mission to be the anchor for families like ours, easing the financial burdens that weigh heavy on subcontractors' shoulders. Because you have enough carry.
With a toolbox filled with financial analysis and planning skills, honed through years of navigating the contractor's terrain and operating in multiple industries, I’m here to help you steward your business numbers sustainably so that you can focus on running your business.
